Members of our board play a crucial role in our organization. Each member joins us with unique life and career experience and helps our organization achieve its goal of allowing children and youth in under-resourced communities access to high-quality arts expression and education.

PRESS RELEASE: VIBE Arts x StART Mural Completed, Launch Event Tuesday, September 10th 2018

This July, VIBE Arts teamed up with StreetARToronto (StART) and began the process of transforming a huge stretch of brick wall into a piece of art. The finished mural, located at Centennial East Recreation Centre at 1967 Ellesmere Road in Scarborough, features multiple species of butterflies and has been named ‘Kaleidoscope’, after the word meaning ‘a collective of butterflies’.

This summer, VIBE Arts is proud to be teaming up with StreetARToronto (StART), The City of Toronto’s suite of innovative programs designed specifically for streets and public spaces. Initiated in 2012 as an integral part of the City’s Graffiti Management Plan, StART has been successful in reducing graffiti vandalism and replacing it with vibrant, colourful, community-engaged street art.

Change is in the air. With the turning of the season, more than just the weather is evolving at VIBE Arts. We are pleased to announce that an Artistic Director has joined our roster. Onika Powell brings over 15 years of experience in the arts as a full time dancer, performer and teacher with work spanning as far as Europe, Asia and Africa.
