On this VIBE Spotlight, we’re shining a light on Prince, a spoken word artist and rapper on the VIBE Arts Emerging Artist roster. Prince is currently one of the artists in Cohort III of NExT, our Black Youth Mentorship made possible by TD Bank Financial Group.
VIBE: What has been one of your favourite moments while being on the VIBE roster?
Prince: One of my favourite moments at VIBE is being able to assist in facilitating workshops. I really look forward to facilitating my own workshops providing youth with tools for their own creative expression. I also love the support and resources VIBES provides to their roster.
VIBE: Is there anything you are currently working on that you would like to share?
Prince: I am currently working on releasing more music for 2021 and 2022. I am also working on creating unique social commentary photos of my own life.
VIBE: What are some of your future goals?
Prince: Some of my future goals are to be an entertainer/performer and arts facilitator. I would also like to travel the world and document my experience.
VIBE: What is one of the greatest lessons you have learned thus far?
Prince: You don’t really miss what’s for you. It will only be delayed if you’re not putting in the work.
