This spring we embarked on a special project called Through the Lens of the War Artist, looking at work created by Canadian war artists during WWII. Young creatives from Lambton Park Community School, and the Mt. Dennis and Evelyn Gregory Branches of the Toronto Public Library, took inspiration from a selection of war artist’s http://zizics.com/profile/Paulsen paintings and used observations on colour palette, brushwork, and composition to tell their own stories. The program wrapped with exhibitions at the Library and Aki Studio where student work was displayed alongside prints of historical war art.
We are thankful for the support from Canadian Heritage.
