As part of our Holiday Campaign, we’re sharing stories that illustrate how VIBE Arts programs make a real difference in the communities we serve. You can check out the others here.
We recently had the pleasure of chatting with Ms. Scher, a dedicated teacher from Grenoble Public School. This past spring, we worked with Ms. Scher and the school to deliver much needed arts education programs in her classroom.
“Before VIBE Arts, we focused on basic art skills. But with VIBE, led by the incredible Vero, our students were given endless opportunities to think outside the box,” Ms. Scher explained. “They were free to guide their own creative adventures, exploring their unique artistic voices.”
Students who might never have seen themselves as artists were blown away by their own creations. “They felt like celebrities when their work was published in a book or displayed on a school canvas,” Ms. Scher beamed.
This Giving Tuesday, join us to expand the potential for many eager young minds in classrooms and communities where arts education opportunities are scarce. Make a donation today towards the arts education programs VIBE delivers, completely free of charge for students!
Here’s an extra bit of good news. Our friends at Penguin Random House Canada have generously committed to match up to $1,000 dollars for donations made this week. Your impact is doubled and amplified.

Back at Ms Scher’s classroom, she shared the touching story involving a young boy with developmental delays who found his voice through art. “He created an entire narrative about dinosaurs, expressing himself in ways traditional classrooms hadn’t allowed. It was less about structure and more about giving him the freedom and tools to succeed.”
For teachers, partnering with VIBE Arts means more than just having an extra set of hands. “VIBE offers tools and suggestions that enrich my own teaching,” Ms. Scher shared. “Even students who struggle in art are supported to discover their inner creativity. It’s remarkable to see them succeed with their own thoughts and ideas.”
In a world that’s constantly evolving, young people need an outlet to express themselves. “Arts education reaches kids who struggle in other areas,” Ms. Scher emphasized. “It allows them to express their inner artistic selves without the rigid constraints often found in traditional classroom settings.”
This Giving Tuesday, your donation can help us continue this vital work, leaving behind high-quality art supplies and lifelong memories for students who need them the most.
Our matching gift sponsor Penguin Random House Canada understands the importance of keeping these programs alive. A recent report revealed a 25% drop in arts opportunities in Ontario public schools over the last decade, with only 12% of schools offering visual arts programs for Grades 7 or 8.
We’re working hard to fill this gap, and Penguin is matching donations up to a total of $1,000 this Giving Tuesday.
