VIBE Arts is seeking artists between the ages of 16-26 looking to gain experience in arts education to join our Emerging Artist Roster.
About the opportunity:
VIBE Arts engages children and youth from under-resourced communities with high-quality arts education programming. VIBE Emerging Artists are hired as assistants to facilitators who run programs in various settings including schools, shelters, and community organizations.
VIBE Emerging Artists receive mentorship from Established Artists to develop artistic and pedagogical skills while assisting with the facilitation of programs. In addition Emerging Artists will attend professional development workshops and have access to networking opportunities.
While we welcome everyone to apply, we hope to onboard Indigenous artists (Contemporary & Traditional) and artists with experience in one of the following disciplines: Clay/Pottery, Sewing/Textile Arts.
Important dates to note:
- Those selected for interviews will be invited for an interview between September 18th – September 25th. Artists will be notified if they are invited to join the Emerging Artist Roster by September 26th.
- Selected artists will be required to join us in person for a mandatory onboarding at the VIBE office (401 Richmond St. W., Unit 230) on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 (From 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm)
