Chalk it Up! Cultural Hotspot North York

By Susie Whaley

In celebration of the North York Community and its creativity, we took part in the Cultural Hotspot Launch at the Aga Khan Museum on May 11, 2016 with an interactive and inter-generational chalk drawing activity.  To further engage children and youth we are offering chalk programs this spring in North York at Driftwood Public School, St. Jane Frances Catholic School as well as two Public Libraries:  York Woods Branch and Fairview https://srqbusinessreviews.com/sarasota-business-directory/vhealthportal/ Branch. In addition, we are participating in the following community events this spring and summer: Freedom Fridayz at York Woods Library (May 27) and the Allenbury Carnival (August 12), where we will offer live chalk art activities. We are also excited to be collaborating with North York Arts to create a large-scale chalk artwork at the Cultura Festival taking place in Mel Lastman Square, July 8, 15, 22, 29, 2016.
