Online Art Programs

At the core of our organization, VIBE works to support artists and spread arts education with those who need it most. In an effort to continue our mission amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, VIBE has launched 4 ongoing programs to employ artists, inspire communities and keep the arts flowing through the lives of people in Ontario.

A Letter to the VIBE Community
from Onika Powell and Katie Hutchinson

Dear VIBE Community,

As Directors of VIBE Arts, a charitable arts organization dedicated to providing high-quality arts education to children and youth, we acknowledge that it has been a difficult time for the world, but particularly for the Black community across the globe.

The cruelty that has been exposed is inexcusable and calls for us ALL to do more to break the systemic barriers that impact the lives and livelihood of the Black Community.

We recognize the injustice and stand strong in the fight against anti-Black racism.

Between the both of us, we are aware of the privileges and inequalities that exist for us individually; and the ways they have supported and created barriers to get us to where we are in life today.

VIBE ARTS UPDATE
IN RESpONSE TO COVID-19

Dear VIBE Community,

As you know, VIBE Arts brings free programs to public schools and community organizations in equity-seeking communities where children, youth and other populations would not otherwise have access to quality arts programming. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, to prevent further spread throughout our communities,

VIBE has cancelled all in-community programs, effective immediately until further notice.

To ensure the safety of our staff and their families, our office has been closed and our team continues to work remotely.

We ask supporters of VIBE who are able to give today, to please do so. Help us weather this crisis and allow our organization to deliver outstanding arts programming to communities in need of healing and expression once this pandemic is behind us.
