Position Description

VIBE Arts is seeking a Marketing & Events Manager to lead our external presence and deepen relationships with
donors, partners, and the broader community. This is a mid-senior role with a broad mandate: shaping how VIBE
shows up in the world — through brand voice and content, the events we produce, and the quality of our donor
stewardship.
You are a skilled marketer and communicator who understands that in the nonprofit context, every touchpoint is
a relationship-building opportunity. You write with clarity and warmth, translate the depth of VIBE’s work into
stories that move people, and think strategically about events — not as logistics exercises, but as curated
experiences that cultivate genuine connection with our mission. You also see how all the pieces connect: how a
well-run event feeds your email list, how a nurture sequence converts a curious subscriber into a donor, and how
every activation grows the community around VIBE’s work.
This role works closely with the fundraising and program teams, with occasional oversight of contractors and
volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand
● Implement VIBE’s external marketing strategy in collaboration with the Managing Director and Executive
Director
● Champion VIBE’s brand voice and visual identity across all channels and materials
● Create and manage content across social media, email, website, and print — including writing, editing,
and light design — that reflects the quality and values of our work
● Maintain and update VIBE’s website content, keeping it current, accurate, and compelling
● Produce VIBE’s quarterly newsletter and contribute to the annual impact report in collaboration with the
ED/MD
● Build and manage email marketing sequences that move audiences from initial interest through to
sustained engagement and giving
● Analyze marketing effectiveness across channels and use data to inform ongoing strategy
● Media outreach as capacity allows, including press releases and media advisories for major moments

Events & Activations
● Support planning and delivery of 3-4 events and activations per year — in collaboration with
Programming and Operations
● Design events that intentionally advance donor relationships and community engagement
● Manage event logistics including budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships, with support from
contractors and volunteers
● Evaluate events against organizational goals and report outcomes to the Managing Director and
Executive Director

Donor Stewardship & External Relations
● Support the external fundraisers in developing and executing individual giving campaigns
● Produce marketing materials in alignment with funder and partnership agreements
● Maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and media contacts
● Represent VIBE at community and sector events as an ambassador for the organization

Organizational Collaboration
● Work closely with program staff to translate program work into compelling public-facing content
● Deliver contracted marketing deliverables including donor recognition and archiving of materials for
grant reporting
● Contribute a marketing and community engagement lens to organizational planning conversations

Qualifications

● 3–5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, events, or development — nonprofit
experience is strongly preferred
● Write compellingly for multiple audiences and channels
● Experience developing and executing marketing strategies across digital and print channels, including
managing the full lifecycle of campaigns from awareness-building through to conversion
● Demonstrated experience producing events, from intimate cultivation gatherings to larger community
activations
● Understanding of donor stewardship principles and individual giving in the charitable sector
● Hands-on experience with paid digital advertising — Meta and Google Ads — including campaign
strategy, audience targeting, and budget management for lead generation, event promotion, and
donation campaigns; comfort going well beyond boosting posts
● Experience building and optimizing email journeys, lead magnets, and nurture funnels that move
audiences from initial interest through to subscription and giving
● Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms, including segmentation, tagging, and automation
● Experience with CRM software; Salesforce experience is a strong asset
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and/or Canva; comfort with WordPress
● Strong project management skills — you manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep things
moving without losing attention to quality
● Comfortable working with and directing volunteers and contractors
● A genuine commitment to arts education, youth development, and the communities VIBE serves

Work Conditions

● Monday–Wednesday work schedule with some flexibility on start and end times
● Hybrid work environment with regular in-office presence once a week
● Regular evening and weekend availability required for events and community programming
● A Criminal Record Check is required upon hire
● Drivers License is an asset
