Emma Welch makes drawings and sculptures that investigate art making through field psychedelia; field research of plant material as a way to enter an altered state of consciousness. From 2015 to 2018 she produced work with the art collective, SADSADDERDAZE which exhibited throughout Ontario at venues including Idea Exchange (Cambridge), The Whitehouse Studio Project (Toronto), and Y+ Contemporary (Scarborough). She is a co-founder and collective member of the plumb, a recently-launched artist-run project located in Toronto, ON. She holds a BAH in Studio Art from The University of Guelph.
