Press Release: VIBE Arts x Rotary International Community-made Murals on display in TTC Stations until July 2018

Mural Makers hard at work – March 20 2018 at Arts Etobicoke

From February through April 2018, VIBE Arts teamed up with five community partners across Ontario with the goal of creating murals in response to the question ‘What does community mean to me?’. Five groups of diverse individuals worked hard over a series of 8 – 10 workshops to complete the mural making process. Each group of participants collaboratively brainstormed, designed and executed the painting of two large, 4’ x 6’ murals. Once the murals were complete, they returned to VIBE Arts to be prepared for exhibition before being installed in various TTC stations on May 28th 2018.

The murals, funded by Rotary International Clubs and exhibited in five stations by Pattison Outdoor, will remain until this July. It is always a privilege to have VIBE Arts projects displayed in high-traffic areas. Should you come across one of our murals during your travels, stop and snap a photo. Photos posted online and tagged @VIBEartsTO #myVIBE earn the chance to be featured.
